Fire Burns Out a House in Worcester

The fire in the kitchen of this Worcester home spread rapidly and damaged different elements of the building. Our SERVPRO of South Worcester team arrived after the firefighters had gone. We started by discarding charred furnishings, appliances, and building materials. We then set up air movers and dehumidifiers to remove the remaining moisture from the firefighters work. Since the house was now vacant, we placed several ozone machines to eliminate most of the smoke particulates and odors that were present. After we mitigated the secondary damages to the interior, we boarded up the exterior to protect the property from animals, people, and bad weather. We returned to finish up the interior clean up, deodorizing, and sanitizing before the reconstruction could start.
