Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

The Simple Greek Testimonial

Megan is a long-time employee of The Simple Greek Restaurant chain. Her employer recently completed construction of a new franchise location in Westborough, Massachusetts and hired SERVPRO to perform the post-construction cleanup.

According to Megan, employees and owners have to deal with a lot of construction dust with a new restaurant; sometimes for as long as four months after they open their doors. In her experience, this is often true even after a cleaning service comes in. With SERVPRO, however, there was no dust at all.

The team leader on this job was Denise. According to Megan, she was very helpful and explained in detail every step they took to clean the kitchen and customer service areas. Her crew wiped down every flat surface and wire rack inside the restaurant, cleaned the walls and ceilings, vacuumed the carpets, and mopped the floors.

After completing their tasks, Denise approached Megan with a problem. According to her, the floors were not up to SERVPRO standards. Although technically finished with the job, Denise wanted to clean them again using a different method. Free of charge, of course. The owner agreed, and Denise quickly finished the second cleaning.

Megan and the owner were pleased with the final results. It was the first time she had ever seen a cleaning service completely remove construction dust in her career opening restaurants with The Simple Greek.

Commercial cleanup and other business services are a specialty for SERVPRO of South Worcester. The restoration teams in this office have decades of experience in removing not just dust but also removing fire and water damage from restaurants in the local area.

Dust, however, is a double threat. Within dust, there are mold spores. In the right temperature range, spores need just a small amount of moisture to begin growing into a colony. When the mold is in a restaurant or other foodservice operation, everything shuts down until the mold is cleared out and an inspection gives a passing grade to the business owner.
